Core criteria
- 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised board
- Minimum aggregate as prescribed — commonly 50% in PCB, 40% for reserved categories
- A qualified NEET result for the applicable admission year
- Minimum age of 17 years as on 31 December of the admission year
- A valid passport with sufficient remaining validity
Documents usually required
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
- NEET scorecard
- Passport (first and last pages)
- Passport-size photographs on the specified background
- Birth certificate and, where asked, a medical fitness and HIV test report
- Police clearance certificate for some destinations

- Is NEET compulsory for MBBS abroad?
- Yes. Indian students must qualify NEET before joining a foreign medical programme if they intend to practise in India after graduation.
